Booklovers Ball

2015 marks our ninth year working with The Denver Public Library, a partnership that we are extremely proud of and humbled by. Each year, we handle several wonderful fundraisers for the Denver Public Library, but our favorite one of the year is The Booklovers Ball.The Ball takes place on three floors of the library and it is one of the most logistically challenging, yet fun and rewarding events that we handle all year. We cook in the basement level of the library and have satellite prep kitchens in seven areas of the library. We utilize two of these kitchens to produce passed hors d’oeuvres for the 650 patrons that enter the library for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Then we move upstairs to the second and third floor to produce a gourmet three course plated dinner before guests return back downstairs for dancing, cocktails, and a late night snack.

The production of Booklovers Ball has become like a fine oiled machine, each year requiring immense amounts of team work and collaboration, which is one of the many reasons we are so proud to be a part of such a wonderful event. From our owner serving on the ball sponsorship committee to our planner serving on the décor committee to our 80+ staff setting up and executing an amazing evening, the behind the scenes planning and orchestration of this event is truly amazing. The Booklovers Ball has a reputation for being the best party in town and Footers Catering is privileged to be a part of such a fabulous event that raises funds for library services.
